Combined Surgery

WHY CHOOSE COMBINED SURGERY?

Combined plastic surgery is an elective procedure typically chosen by women between the ages of 30 and 50.

Each surgery is tailored to a woman’s individual goals and may include a combination of procedures such as breast surgery, arm lift, and abdominoplasty.

Although most commonly performed on postnatal patients, these procedures may also be appropriate for other women seeking change in body shape.

PROCEDURES FOR COMBINED SURGERY

Combined surgeries usually involve abdominal surgery, with breast surgery and may include the following:

  • Breast augmentation

  • Breast lift

  • Combination of breast augmentation with a breast lift

  • Breast reduction with lift

When performed by an experienced and accredited surgeon, combined surgery as an elective plastic surgery is safe and effective. Dr Hertess is well-respected for her professional surgical results.

ABDOMINOPLASTY

Most changes for new mothers are noticeable around the stomach. The developing baby changes a woman’s abdominal muscles during pregnancy.

New mothers may experience stretch marks, excess skin, and protruding abdomen from muscle separation.

C-section birth scarring may also be visible. An abdominoplasty as part of a combined surgical procedure can produce positive results.

CHANGING BREAST SIZE & SHAPE

Many new mothers experience changes to their breasts not only during pregnancy but also during the postpartum breastfeeding period.

Changes include swelling of milk glands, which replace regular tissue. These milk glands become smaller and breast tissue is lost.

This can cause breasts to sit lower on the chest wall, or show stretch marks. A breast lift can change the breast shape to sit higher.
